The Charity

Special Boat Service Associationsbsa-logo

The Special Boat Service Association (SBSA) is a registered charity (No. 1105052) that is funded entirely by voluntary subscription and donations. Due to the nature of the organisation that it supports a public appeal is not an option. Therefore, raising money is obviously more challenging than that of a regular charity. We believe that the nature of our project ties in appropriately with the nature of the SBS and we believe therefore that it is a great opportunity to help such a good cause. The aims of the SBSA are similar to that of the better known charity ‘Help for Heroes’ and are outlined in the following points:

·         To assist injured members and bereaved families in any way necessary.

·         To perpetuate the memory of those who have died in the service of their country.

·         To foster esprit de corps, comradeship and welfare.

·         To help preserve the traditions of the service.
