The 2 man team consists of Tom Heal and Will Smith who will both be 21 at the start of the race. Having attended school together in Somerset, Tom and Will have been friends for 8 years and between them have cited numerous reasons behind their descision to take on this awesome challenge. These include a desire to test their mental and physical limits, satisfy a strong sense of adventure, and to take on a challenge that will lead them them into the unknown.

 Will Smith

Will is currently a mechanical engineer apprentice at Airbus, based in Filton. He lives in Badminton near Bristol. With a sound understanding of technology and mechanics, Will will be responsible for the communications during the race, and for the integral parts of the boat.

Tom Heal

Tom is a 2nd year Business and Management student at Oxford Brookes University. He lives in Petersfield in Sussex. With more experience at sea Tom’s responsibilities will include navigation and organisisng the majority of the administration before the race.
